Check out the latest innovation in home theater technology that could put you right inside the Super Bowl without leaving the comfort of your couch. That’s because the folks at Technicolor’s research lab are working to recreate the experience of being at the big game – without actually being at the big game. Their new Personalized Content Rendering technology was demoed at this year’s CES.

Personalized Content Rendering uses different camera angles to deliver an interactive panoramic viewing experience. The movement of a mouse or a simple hand gesture will give a user complete on-screen control of the broadcast view in real-time, meaning you can look anywhere you like while the action plays on. The technology also allows for zooming or alternatively choosing one of the recommended view paths (tailored to the type of event being watched).

Lucozade recruited the James Cleaver Quintet, an unknown, unsigned band, to record a tribute to Feeder’s Buck Rogers while rolling down Albion Hill (The Widowmaker) in Brighton. “The Arrival”, the resulting television, cinema, PR and digital advertising campaign was designed to challenge and inspire everyone to find their true energy. All connected to the social and contagious Lucozade Energy brand.

Watch this video. Now we guess many of the viewers will look at it a second time … Did you ?

It is always risky for a brand to put their products in a situation where they are stolen, and especially when you kind of promote shoplifting. It is also risky to make a viral, not branded, but clearly commercial. The allocation to the brand will be good, but it can be perceived as cheesy. That said, I must recognize the demonstration worked for me as I have now in mind LG screens can be really really slim.

The 2 minute spot, which was released last night after the final episode of Frozen Planet, shows clips of wildlife footage voiced over by Attenborough saying the lyrics to Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World”.

National Geographic UK recently ran “9/11 WEEK”, a special event to mark the tenth anniversary of the terror attacks in the U.S.A. From 5 to 9 September, the channel aired a range of new programs, including the premiere of George W. Bush: The 9/11 Interview. We’ve included here two trailers for the series, one for the 9/11 Week, the other for the George Bush interview. The 9/11 Week follows pieces of paper and communication devices as they are blown around the World Trade Center Twin Towers site during the explosions in 2001.
