The creation of the visuals for the ARCADES video is based on the DJ’s musical approach. The idea was to use samples of organic images, cut them out, play with time to mix and recreate images in a geometrical way.

Adidas: Ready to Run Experiential Campaign

Awesome experiential piece from adidas France. With the insight that the younger audience hated running they needed a new way to create hype for the re launch of the Climacools – pure running shoes.
adidas wanted to give teens a reason to run so they launched this experiential campaign “Ready to run.” The concept begins with each teen that tries on a pair of Climacools anywhere in France, has their chance to be chosen to carry out a mission which involves racing across the city. The chosen teen gets kidnaped from within the store, taken into a van, given earphones and instructions before they are left to run their mission. They are filmed as they carry out their hour long operation. adidas involved key stars in the campaign such as athlete Teddy Riner’s (world judo champion) who gave the teens their instructions remotely. What a great way to create some hype around this running shoe! Nice work Sid Lee.

Prometheus in an abandoned Paris metro station
If you’re visiting Paris we recommend you to take the Metro line 9 (direction Pont de Sèvres). Until the 25th of May you will be able to see the Saint-Martin station (closed since 1939) which is built into an advertising installation for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus.

The Parisian Pinball Park

Rumour has it that Parisian drivers really don’t care about the cars around them and they’ll drive or park where ever and how ever they like… And sometimes… Sorry, most times, that means if they need to squeeze into a car space, they will, anyway they can, complete with bumps, scratches and dints on every corner of the car. They don’t care. Crazy right?!
So Ford Europe, through our friends at Ogilvy Paris, created the Parisian Pinball Park Challenge. A digital installation that was created around a free parking space in Paris, the catch was, the space was small and the cars either side of the parking space were rigged up to the overhead pinball score board… The worse the driver, the more points they scored, with the winner being presented a brand new car complete with active park assist which conveniently parks the car perfectly!

Service Civique - Clean Tags
The Service Civique is a state device that enables 16-25 years old people to take some social action (help the homeless, restore monuments, build houses…) TBWAParis is taking part of this intervention with a media arts operation, taking place in the street : the Service Civique choose the clean tag technique to convey its message, away from traditional ways. Clean tag is a technique consisting in washing a wall following a stencil. The clean zone then pops out, like a tag. This technique acts in complete coherence with the message the Service Civique conveys.

JCDecaux France: Innovate for McDonald’s

On February 24th, at La Défense (business disctrict near Paris), passers-by were surprised to see a giant cube of 5 meters high, equipped with a digital screen.
This event was imagined and designed by JCDecaux Innovate and the agencies BETC and OMD.
One of the sides of the giant cube had a photo booth connected to the screen. Passers-by had their pictures taken, then their faces were instantaneously integrated into the digital poster.
Another side had the “paper” version of the ad, and was changed every 15 min with the people’s faces.
This amazing event also allowed many participants to send their portraits by mail and walk away with a print version of their photo.
Nearly 300 people were photographed that day.
Peugeot 208 : Interactive Experience

L’Odyssée de Cartier

Maison Cartier, the French jewelry house, has launched “L’Odyssée de Cartier”, a 3:31 minute short film focusing on its history, its values and inspiration, its artistic and universal scope. The three and a half minute film follows the iconic symbol of the brand, the panther, around the world where he brushes with key moments and locations from Cartier’s history. The campaign includes a microsite, odyssee.cartier.com, where visitors can view the film in full, explore the jewelry associated with each setting, and see behind-the-scenes film on film production and music.
The Cartier panther (three were used in filming) travels to St Petersburg in the snow, to China where he comes face-to-face with a golden dragon, to an Indian palace built upon an elephant’s back and filled with glittering animal jewellery (many pieces of which reside in the Cartier archive), before leaping aboard the wings of and identical replica of the airplane built by Alberto Santos-Dumont, to showcase the classic Cartier Santos watch (first commissioned by the Brazilian aviation legend in 1904). The panther finally lands in Paris, the birthplace of Cartier, on Place Vendôme where he meets supermodel Shalom Harlow at the Grand Palais.

ABSOLUT Purity: No ink, only paper, light and shadows
Here’s something to sink your digital teeth into. Vodka brand ABSOLUT commissioned German artist Simon Schubert to create an artwork about purity. His solution was letting only light and shadow create the picture, using a special folding technique. The piece is currently on exhibit and heavily guarded, as a bus shelter in Paris.
Since December 14th ABSOLUT Vodka has taken over one of Avenue de l’Opéra’s bus shelters in Paris. The unique poster portrays the limited edition multi-sided bottle released at the end of the year.

The Canal+ Borgia TV series is the world’s first 360 degree narrative that works seamlessly across your desktop, iPad and iPhone to provide a complete experience. The campaign has already picked up a number of awards, and aims to pull new viewers into the brand new show about a family worse than the Mafia, and you’ll be placed in the middle.
The campaign places you as a key investigator in the series, and you’ll be responsible for tracking the family through a 360 degree video experience that was shot exclusively for the campaign. I’d really love to see more of this kind of story telling online.
